This module is designed for individuals desiring to learn basic pistol fundamentals: you will learn how to handle a pistol in a safe manner, how to safely load and unload a pistol, and determine your eye dominance. You will also learn aiming, trigger control, hold control and breath control. Through hands-on training we prepare you for the Texas License to Carry a Handgun module. We provide handugns, if needed. You’ll purchase 50 rounds of ammo from us if you use our handgun.

This module is designed for individuals with prior knowledge of pistol fundamentals and can pass the proficiency demonstration (shooting) without assistance, including loading and unloading a pistol magazine, and pass a 25 question test after 3 hours of instructions. This module covers subjects such as: Laws that relate to weapons and to the use of deadly force, handgun use and safety, including use of restraint holsters, and non-violent dispute resolutions. .
